Этот незамысловатый стишок, часто напечатанный на открытке, говорит о трепетных чувствах к любимой/любимому. О глубокой любви поведает такое произведение, например:

Would it be ok if I took some of your time?

А чего стоят сонеты Шекспира, лирика Байрона и английские стихи других выдающихся писателей… И речь не только о любовных сочинениях, которые школьники пишут своим одноклассницам или взрослые мужчины желающие покорить сердце женщины, а о стихотворениях вообще. К каждому может прийти муза и разбудить желание творить. А что если эта муза окажется англоговорящей? Сегодня мы расскажем, как сочинить стих на английском и как подбирать рифмы к словам на английском.

Что такое рифма в английском языке?

Зачем в поэзи и нужны строки и строфы?

Рифма (rhyme) – это одинаковые или похожие звуковые сочетания двух или больше последних слов в строках, которые повторяются. Собственно рифма и делает восприятие стихотворения или песни приятным на слух.

Рифмы делятся на такие виды:

1. Полные – звуки после ударной гласной одинаковые: might – night, boy – joy.
2. Неполные – с повторением гласных или согласных звуков: worth – forth, sale – rain.
3. Составные, которые на английском называются broken rhymes – в таком случае рифмуются не звуки, а сами слова: bottom – shot him, passion – with compassion.
4. Зрительные, так называемые eye rhymes – слова с похожим написанием, но разным звучанием: wood – blood, love – prove, have – grave.

В стихотворениях важной есть не только рифма слов, а и ритм (rhythm) – чередование ударных и неударных слогов, их ускорение или наоборот замедление. Ритм формирует метрику – разные стихотворные размеры.

Основные виды:

1. Ямб (iamb) – двузвучный размер, где под ударением стоит каждый второй гласный слог.

2. Хорей (trochee) – двузвучный размер, где под ударением – каждый первый гласный слог.

3. Дактиль (dactyl) – трехзвучный размер, где под ударением – каждый первый гласный слог.

4. Амфибрахий (amphibrach) – трехзвучный размер, где под ударением – каждый второй гласный слог.

5. Анапест (anapaest) – трехзвучный размер, где под ударением – каждый третий гласный слог.

Ритм задают строки (lines) , а точнее фразы. То есть не все, что написано в одну линию – строку – составляет стих. Стихотворная строка – фразовая рифмованная строка – речевая ритмическая единица, которая имеет смысл. То есть каждая строка должна звучать как законченная фраза. Сочетание строк их рифма формирует строфы (stanzas) – часть стиха, которая состоит из определенного числа строк. Различают перекрестную (cross stanzas) и параллельную строфы (parallel stanzas) . Они имеют по четыре строчки: только в перекрестной рифмуются первая и третья, а также вторая и четвертая строки:

А в параллельной – первая и вторая, третья и четвертая:

What the hammer? what the chain?

In what furnace was thy brain?

What the anvil? What dread grasp?

Английские рифмы: как написать стих

Для того чтобы писать стихи нужно обладать широким словарным запасом и, конечно, знать на высшем уровне грамматику. Обогатить знания поможет чтение книг на языке оригинала, просмотр фильмов, практика в разговорном и письменном английском. Начните сами слагать свободные, белые стихи. Если есть вдохновение и вы знаете основоположные правила написания стихотворений – все получится!

В случае, когда подобрать рифму к английскому слову самостоятельно не получается, используйте словарь рифм на английском – онлайн-сервисы вам в помощь!

1. http://www.rhymezone.com/ Здесь вы найдете множество слов-рифм и фраз к нужному слову, а также примеров этих самых выражений из разных произведений. Поиск можно настроить на синонимы, объяснения, цитаты и прочее.

2. http://rhymer.com/ Вот тут можно даже выбрать двойные, тройные и рифмы по первым слогам.

3. http://www.prime-rhyme.com/ Этот сайт попроще предыдущих. Тут генерируются только синонимы к введенному вами слову.

4. http://wikirhymer.com/ На сайте собрано самое большое количество рифм к одному слову.

Кстати, бытует мнение, что не рифмующиеся слова на английском – это month, orange, silver, purple. Но «побродив» по интернету, мы нашли такие варианты:

• month (месяц) – once (однажды), sons (сыновья), guns (ружья) + еще около 200 вариантов;
• orange (оранжевый) – college (колледж), sausage (сосиска), storage (кладовка);
• silver (серебряный) – builder (строитель), winner (победитель);
• purple (фиолетовый) – turtle (черепаха), sparkle (искриться).

Завершив поиск рифмы на английском, не спешите выбирать первый попавшийся вариант. Ознакомьтесь со всеми для лучшего результата. Попробуйте самостоятельно подобрать рифму посредством подставления разных букв алфавита, например. Используйте зрительные рифмы: love – above, bove, cove, dove, fove … Да, не все слова имеют смысл, но посмотрите перевод каждого и выберите то, которое подойдет вам по смыслу. Используйте многосложные слова, чтобы сделать стих ярче.

Если этот способ не сработает, попробуйте заменить слово, которое не можете срифмовать. Употребите его синоним или вообще измените строку. Рифма создается не ради рифмы, а ради мелодичности.

Не ругайте себя за неудачи. Все приходит с опытом. Практикуясь, вы мало того что выучите множество новых слов, так еще и рифмовки на английском будете щелкать как орешки. А мы в вам поможем выучить английский быстро и эффективно!
