film “Shaun of the Dead”

Dead Rising 2 is one of those games that turns grown men into little children. Eyes sparkle with delight, hands tremble, and absolute madness is happening on the screen. The main character beats zombies with a pool cue, rides around the mall on a tricycle and chases psychopaths in a superhero costume. In Dead Rising 2 you want to try absolutely everything, but how to fit it into the measly seventy-two hours allotted for the bloody bacchanalia?..

A zombie invasion is always a holiday for merrymakers and pharmaceutical companies. As usually happens, everything happened suddenly: after the next episode of the show “It’s a Cruel World,” which is based on colorful zombie killings, someone released the living dead from their cages, and they flooded the streets of a town with the modest name of Fortuna. They devoured most of the population, filled casinos and supermarkets and scattered around the neighborhood in search of new victims.

The main character, professional motorcycle racer Chuck Greene, was one of the participants in the show. He rode around the arena on a motorcycle and cut zombies with a saw as he went for the amusement of the audience. The proceeds went to buy medicine for Katie's little daughter - the girl was bitten by a zombie, and without them she could at any moment join the ranks of the wandering dead.

When it all started, Chuck and Katie managed to get to the shelter just before it closed. The security officer honestly warned that the military would arrive only in three days and until then we would have to somehow survive on our own.

In addition to all the troubles, Greene is declared an enemy of the people: someone filmed him allegedly releasing zombies from cages. So for seventy-two hours he will have to not only fight off the invasion, but restore his good name and punish the guilty.

Chuck and bat to the rescue

First of all, Chuck is driven by the need to get medicine - his daughter needs Zombrex every morning. But there is something to do besides this. Green will have to chase trains, fight mercenaries robbing the city, shoot down helicopters and flirt with two girls at once - the beautiful journalist Rebecca and the head of the zombie rights society Stacy. Each task begins at a strictly defined time - in order not to miss it, you need to constantly look at your wristwatch. Until hour X comes, the hero is left to his own devices and can do whatever he wants. For example, side quests.

It is not necessary to complete them all. However, the ending of the game depends on the results of your activities. There are already five options - one more pessimistic than the other. Only one is considered true, but to open it, you will have to fuss.

In the vastness of Fortuna, there are plenty of those who need help - they need to be looked for throughout the map and escorted to the shelter. Perhaps in another game this could turn into a routine, but in Dead Rising 2, every new acquaintance is a celebration of the soul. One of the lost girls will demand that Chuck take off his clothes because she doesn't want to run around naked alone. Another one cannot walk at all, because she works as a mermaid in a fountain. A trio of ladies of easy virtue will agree to an escort for only ten thousand dollars, and another beauty will refuse to leave without her hubby. The guy in the knight's helmet hid in the farthest corner, where he cried his eyes out. Each of the heroes manages to alienate something, come up with another phrase that is brilliant in its stupidity, and find themselves in a situation that is harder to get into than to get out of.

There was also a place for individuals who needed special “help” - namely, speedy destruction. These psychopaths were overwhelmed by the zombie outbreak and became socially dangerous. The motorcyclist from It's a Cruel World seriously thinks he gets points for killing people. The crazy chef discovered a new ingredient - fresh human flesh. Some pervert in a latex suit couldn't come up with anything better than forcing a girl into marriage by threatening her with a pink saw...

Each psychopath is unique, some are even touching, but most are just begging to be hit in the forehead with a boot. Fighting these cadres is much more difficult than fighting ordinary zombies, but also more interesting.

Typically, weapons are either lethal or funny, but there are also specimens that combine both qualities. Most often, they can be obtained using combination cards - drawings awarded for special merits or when gaining new levels. Green has workshops throughout Fortuna. In them, he can create unique designs, such as a bat with nails, an electric wheelchair, a bow with dynamite instead of arrows, or boxing gloves studded with knives. You can stuff precious stones into a pneumatic machine and turn it into an analogue of a shotgun, and build a diamond into a flashlight and make a laser sword to the envy of the Jedi.

On a note: weapons have the unfortunate tendency to break, so you'll have to reassemble them or look for something more powerful every time this happens.

If you suddenly don’t have the ingredients at hand, it doesn’t matter, stock up from the looters; You can buy a ready-made product from them. Immoral thieves have settled down well, opened four shops and are selling valuable property at exorbitant prices. You can also get new drawings from them, and even keys to the vehicle.

Instead of moving around a large city on your own, it is better to saddle one of the sports bikes, a two-seater coupe or even a Hummer. Cars not only speed up movement and save you from accidental bites, but also crush zombies. As a last resort, there is an option for the most thrifty - a pink tricycle that can be stolen from a children's store.

Chuck himself can be dressed up in any suit he likes. You can turn him into a ninja or a knight, put on a Borat-style swimsuit, put on children's pajamas, a tailcoat or women's shorts, a top and shoes. And if at the same time you put a raccoon hat or a Panama hat on his head... If Green had known what they would do to him, he would have personally destroyed all the stores, blown up Fortuna and fled to the neighboring continent.

For killings and completing tasks, Chuck is awarded experience that allows him to grow right up to level fiftieth, learn special techniques (an excellent wrestler died in a motorcyclist) and improve his characteristics. The game will improve your strength, endurance, speed, etc. for you, but if you want to increase your parameters even more, carry glossy publications with you: magazines in your bosom bring solid advantages.

In any place Greene visits, you can borrow booze (food and drinks restore health), interior items and various goods. Doors are open everywhere for Chuck. He will look into the park and the hotel, rush through the alleys, shopping centers, gambling establishments and clubs. In some places you can even test your luck: fight a one-armed bandit, ride a mechanical bull, or play poker.

Arena Quartet

The end credits are not the end. You can start the game again, while maintaining the hero’s level, all his achievements and acquisitions. Of course, with all this wealth it will be much easier to keep up everywhere.

Photo for memory! Hello to the hero of the first part of Dead Rising.

The online mode will also help prolong the pleasure. It is named after the TV show "It's a Cruel World" and invites players to take part in the mockery of zombies in front of television cameras. Nine types of competitions include shaking zombies' brains with a mixer, sending them to giant scales with elk antlers, shooting them with cannons and sniper rifles, and dressing up in funny outfits. The dead will have to be processed into bloody “juice”, strung on spears and crushed by huge steel balls in which the participants themselves are locked.

Each show consists of four such competitions. Three of them are chosen at random, but the fourth is always the same - a motorcycle race with chainsaws. Rounds last one and a half minutes, the sum of points scored during this time determines your starting position in the final race. It’s fun, exciting, dynamic, and also brings in money that can be transferred to Chuck’s account in a single-player game, thereby making his difficult life easier.

The impression is spoiled only by the work of the translators. “Bowlingomania,” for example, was a name given to a competition that had nothing in common with bowling. Some tasks and dialogues have lost all humor or even meaning. But, worst of all, new errors in the code appeared in the Russian version. For example, you can’t spot new designs for weapons on movie posters - the game instantly crashes. We are waiting for the patch.

There’s nothing else to complain about in the game. The authors made every effort to make the arrival of Dead Rising 2 on computers bright and memorable, but they hardly expected such a stunning result. The project has simply become a new standard of quality among daring games for a pleasant pastime. Long live zombies!

  • Zombies are slow until they smell live meat nearby. Don't linger in place, run and jump all the time, and if you want to look around, find a higher point where zombies cannot climb. When falling from a great height, keep in mind that Chuck will go limp for a while.
  • Look into all the nooks and crannies on the map. There you can find weapons, money and even zombrex for your daughter and other sufferers. There are four caches of medicine in total here.

First portion is hidden in the Ranch Casino behind the stage. There is a lot of junk there, as well as several black boxes along the left wall; go behind the curtain, climb onto two boxes near the other wall, jump onto the large dice, and from there onto the required boxes.

Second a portion was hidden in the Americana casino, in the BBQ Shack. Climb the stairs to the second floor, jump onto the square chandelier (there is still a replica of an airplane hanging there) and move along the ceiling until you find yourself on the platform above the “one-armed bandits”.

Third the stash is located in the very center of the Yucatan casino (it is marked in gray on the map). There is a building made of square blocks, which is quite easy to climb and pick up the prize along with the machine gun.

Fourth The medicine package is hidden underground - on a platform under the Silver Alley.

  • It is advisable to give Zombrex to everyone who needs it (missing portions can be purchased). A lot of experience is awarded for generosity, and this will also affect the ending of the game.
  • Remember, the enemy is not asleep, even when you go to the toilet (you can only save there) or look at the clock. Pause does not turn on.
  • Use a mixer and mix drinks to improve their healing properties. But don't go too heavy on alcohol; if Chuck drinks too much, he'll feel sick and nauseous. In addition, he will become weak and can hardly stand on his feet.
  • Some zombies always carry certain weapons. Builders - with saws and flashlights, police - with pistols, shotguns and rubber batons. You can take machine guns from former military personnel, sonic cannons from scientists, and rifles, grenades and other army equipment are stored in ammunition boxes.
  • The only weapons of mass destruction in the game are small genetically modified wasps. If you crush one of these near a large concentration of zombies, you will kill them all in one fell swoop.
  • Fighting psychos at the beginning of the game is a disastrous, thankless task. Before contacting them, accumulate at least a dozen levels.
  • After rescuing any survivors, immediately equip him with firearms. The rescued one will stay with you until you reach the shelter, and will help in clearing the path, and possibly in completing other tasks.
  • Try very hard not to hit your partner with blows or shots. He may get offended and run away (and it will not be possible to return him), or even start shooting back.
  • Another trouble associated with rescue operations is the idiocy of the rescued. After handing them a weapon, stay away - the survivors can shoot the entire clip at Chuck if there is a zombie behind him. They also have problems with orientation, so look around and check if the dummy is stuck in the doorway.
  • The arrow pointing the way is not always adequate. She never takes the short route, choosing the longest and most dangerous one. Check the map more often and check the electronic assistant for lies.
  • A problem that you can often encounter at first is a lack of money. It can be solved in two ways: by destroying the casino and participating in online battles.
  • Complete all tasks, regardless of their number. It has been verified: you can make it in time, the main thing is to correctly allocate time and choose the right route. Otherwise, the ending will not be the most optimistic; It’s easy to guess, for example, what will happen to Katie if she is left without Zombrex.
  • Strip poker, blackjack and slot machines bring not only money, but experience points, achievements and some things. For example, if you beat a fat guy in Hold'em, you will leave him without clothes and you can take them for yourself.
  • Katie is Chuck's only daughter and needs to be pampered sometimes. Bring your child toys from stores and you will earn extra points.
Rescue of drowning people

This kind of camp can be saved in one go.

Not all survivors who need to be evacuated appear in the tasks. Some you will have to look for on your own, and this requires remarkable care and extra time. The latter is especially difficult, so we decided to make your task easier by indicating the names and locations of the unfortunate people.

  • Denise hiding from looters in a pharmacy during his first trip to buy Zombrex. It is impossible to miss it no matter how much you want.
  • Lashandra fights off zombies on the way out of the hideout during Chapter 1-1. The black woman climbed onto the bar counter, it’s hard not to notice her.
  • Gordon - Lashandra's cowardly husband. While his wife fights the dead, he hides in a women's store to the right of the shelter. Until you talk to Lashandra, the guy won’t take a step.
  • Lenny - the boy that Ted was going to feed to Snowflake. He will run away at the sight of Chuck; you can only find him by defeating or taming the tigress. Lenny is hiding in the manager's room in the south wing of the Yucatan Casino.
  • Erica, Bessie and Rose went shopping during Chapter 3-1. Zombies don't bother them; shopping is everything. Especially expensive items from the boutique on the second floor of Royal Flash Square, which is located next to the sports store.
  • Janus throughout the entire third chapter he stands near the Atlantic casino. He does not agree to take weapons and promises a substantial sum for his salvation. Indeed, seventy thousand is a lot.
  • Jessica, Jacob and Nevada - avid poker players. They sit in a small room on the west side of the Atlantic Casino during Chapter Four. To escort them to the shelter, you need to have at least one hundred thousand dollars with you and beat the trio at poker.
  • Ray hiding from the crazy Sheriff Seymour. After the battle, he can be found in the building on the left, where he unsuccessfully fights off zombies.
  • Michael and Matthew- a couple of soldiers from the rescue squad. They can be found during the sixth chapter in the very center of Fortuna Park near a broken SUV. Chuck must throw all firearms to the floor before approaching.

Psychopaths...

Not only zombies have settled in Fortuna, but also crazy people who kill people for pleasure or on the advice of an invisible friend. They are very strong and dangerous, defeating them the first time is a serious test. For each you need to select special tactics.

Leon Bell

The racer in the green suit seriously believes that the show continues, only his targets are no longer zombies, but living people. To compete, Leon gives Green the keys to a motorcycle parked outside the Arena.

Chase the guy to Fortuna Park, where he will start circling around two mountain models. His weapons are chainsaws on the sides of the bike, yours are cunning and strength. First, try crashing into him several times, but if the number doesn’t work, get off, take a firearm and shoot at the approaching Leon. The moment he gets too close and the saws touch you, the psychopath will definitely stop to enjoy his triumph. You can take advantage of this and hit him with something heavy on the head. You can improve your health if you climb over a fence or climb to a height - Leon won’t go there even if he wants to.

There is another way to defeat the racer - you can take advantage of errors in the code. Stand in front of a fence or fence, wait for the enemy and quickly jump to the side - he will crash and still continue to press the gas pedal. Of course, the exit to Platform nine and three quarters will not open, and Leon can be beaten with impunity.

Brandon Whittaker

A zombie rights activist deifies Chuck for his direct participation in the invasion and is going to turn all survivors into zombies by biting them - the guy himself has half turned himself. One loser is already sitting in the toilet stall, another is waiting in the wings on the dirty floor.

Brandon is very deft with the glass shard. He attacks in two ways: he carries out three slow but strong blows, or he makes a big swing and hits with such force that Chuck falls to the floor (when you see a hand rising up, jump back). In addition, the madman likes to go into overdrive and run into Green, as well as hide in toilet stalls and suddenly jump out. Having received enough damage, he runs there to lick his wounds.

There's no point in chasing him; it's better to wait for Brandon at the front door - sooner or later he'll show up. If the psycho takes a running start, approach the urinal and jump sharply when the enemy approaches.

Attack from behind, there is a chance that the zombie rights fighter will not get out of the “trap” - like Leon, he has problems with orientation on the ground. If a miracle does not happen, be patient, have some juice, and have arrogance - Brandon can be beaten openly.

The best weapon against him is a bat with nails.

Antoine Thomas

A crazy Italian works as a chef in one of Fortuna's restaurants. True, the chef’s cooking seems to be made from human flesh, and he himself is extremely aggressive and almost immediately attacks Chuck.

Antoine has two main attacks - hitting him with a frying pan and throwing that same frying pan at Greene's forehead. He might also start throwing plates or jump on top of Chuck and start feeding him disgusting food. Having received damage, the cook runs to replenish his strength - or rather, to eat. Food is stored in the kitchen and on tables outside.

The easiest way to defeat a psychopath is with a machine gun. Shoot when he runs towards you or when he turns his back and rushes towards the chicken and pork. If Antoine is hiding behind a frying pan, hitting and shooting is useless. To dodge his boomerang frying pans, you just need to either move quickly or stand around the corner. The same applies to flying saucers.

If you don’t have a firearm at hand, take a bat or pitchfork lying around in a nearby establishment. Then you need to act according to a different scheme: first hit, then hide, wait until Antoine runs to fill his belly, attack from behind, hide again - and so on until victory.

Slappy

A classic version of madness - the actor got too used to the role of a television character. He, like many others, blames Chuck for the invasion; TV can’t lie! The guy with the doll head is very angry and takes out a couple of homemade flamethrowers. He is literally going to incinerate Chuck with his hatred.

Slappy has one weak point - roller skates. He skates excellently, but falls after being kicked in the chest. From the very beginning, stand in his way, jump and kick him. If the actor loses his balance, he will fall and can be beaten. It's best to use a bat or something equally powerful.

Soon Slappy will come to his senses, stand up, spin around and start pouring fire all around him, so quickly run away. As soon as the fireworks are over, run back and repeat the actions in the same sequence. Everything should not take more than a minute.

Bibi Love

The elderly diva prepared for a long time for her return to the stage and for her last concert at the same time. The show was supposed to be bright and unforgettable. Alas, Fortuna is overrun by zombies, and there is no one to look at Bibi. Without thinking twice, she took three people hostage, including her assistant, mined them, herself and... And then Chuck showed up.

Mistaking him for a new assistant, Bibi begins to command. First, she needs to be served a refreshing drink - look for it on the floor or steal something from the bar. Then Greene needs to change into “normal clothes”, from the actress’s point of view - this is exclusively a tailcoat from the store on Royal Flush Square (it’s called Modern Businessman and is located next to the exit from the casino). Then you should announce to the fans that the prima is ready. In the absence of such, zombies, which can be lured to the fireworks (they are stored in generous quantities behind the scenes), will also do. After that, pull the lever next to the curtain. A mini-game will begin - the lady will dance wildly while you need to press the necessary keys. Nothing difficult, but if you fail or try to attack Bibi, she will self-destruct along with all the hostages. If you win, you will save both the trio of prisoners and Madonna herself, who is extremely pleased with the success of the show.

Randy Tugman

A crazy virgin, a lover of pornography and a devotee of the latex pig suit, Randy took advantage of the invasion to find his soulmate. And not without success - one of the girls nevertheless agreed to become his bride. True, under the threat of being sawed by a huge pink chainsaw.

The nasty fat man is one of the most serious opponents. The wedding hall is small, cluttered and almost unsuitable for maneuvers. Therefore, it is better to go ahead, armed with a laser sword. Bring three or four cartons of juice or cream with you and try to hit when Randy stops and starts shaking his dignity (apparently showing Chuck who the real alpha male is in this town).

Avoiding lunges is quite easy - just jump over the fences between the benches and aisles. The only caveat: the guy will not calm down until he hits Green at least once, so he will have to give in several times in the name of good goals. One hit removes quite a lot of health, so provisions will go away very quickly. In case of emergency, there are more supplies in the corner at the entrance and near the bride.

Karl Schlieff

The most touching, pleasant and sentimental of the psychopaths, Carl works as a postman. Zombrex was supposed to arrive for Chuck, but when the patriot saw him as an enemy of the people from TV, bombs were used.

They and the shotgun are Karl’s main weapon, so keeping your distance is a dead end, sooner or later you will die under bullets or from explosions. It is best to engage in close combat: neither mined newspapers nor a double-barreled shotgun will help the postman here. You can hit with anything, as long as the weapon is heavier. When Carl hits back, Chuck will fall and the psychopath will run away and throw a bomb as a sign of friendship, so you'll have to quickly get up and hide. The rest of the battle is quite simple: don't stand still, rush hand-to-hand, and everything will be fine.

Theodore and Snowflake

Ted is an overweight and slow-witted tiger trainer who performs at the Yucatan casino. Since the invasion began, Theodore has been feeding his pets exclusively fresh meat, that is, both zombies and humans. As soon as you enter the casino, a man will knock Chuck out and try to feed him to Snowflake. The hero will come to his senses in time, offer himself a clipping in exchange and casually drop the word “slowly,” which Theodore hates. This is where the battle will begin.

In the "Tips" chapter, we mentioned a cache with zombrex, which is located in the middle of the establishment on the platform above. There is also a machine gun lying around, which is better to immediately run for. Take it and immediately open fire. Thirty to forty bullets would be enough to take down Theodore. Don't touch the snowflake - you will need it later.

When the trainer dies, the tigress will want to devour Chuck. It's time to feed her the meat lying around in the place where Green escaped just a minute ago. If you climb up the decorations, you can find three steaks. This is enough for Snowflake to recognize the motorcyclist as a new owner. The cat is strong and resilient, so don’t rush to send her to the shelter, but rather complete several missions together.

Reed and Roger

A couple of unlucky magicians are a godsend for suicides: Roger and Reed practice their tricks on living people, without worrying too much about their safety.

Roger is small, agile, armed with two magic swords. He is very fast, and the best method to fight him is with ranged weapons. It should be either a rifle, a machine gun, or a bow with dynamite instead of arrows. The latter is the most effective: six or seven shots will knock Roger down, and the matter will be left to Reed.

The leader of the duo, a broad-shouldered, curly-haired blond who resembles Ukupnik, is armed with a rocket launcher that shoots firecrackers. Some volleys deprive Chuck of health, others blind him and knock his weapon out of his hands. It's better to go hand-to-hand and hit with a laser sword or a good old bat with nails. If you have very little health left, hide behind the machine guns: Reed is too slow and cannot run, so there are precious minutes. The main thing is not to get caught by zombies - there are a lot of them in the casino.

Seymour Redding

The sheriff, who after the zombie invasion imagines himself as the ruler of the city, staged a display of hangings at the Fortuna Hotel and is ready to kill anyone he considers dangerous to others.

Seymour is the proud owner of an impressive and very powerful Colt. The vigilante's second weapon is a lasso, which he can use to wrap Green up, pull him towards him and start beating him. It’s not difficult to get out (another mini-game), and shortening the distance is even useful - in close combat the sheriff has nothing to oppose to the powerful blows of the motorcyclist. And this is your trump card: hit with everything that comes to hand, and soon the fight will end.

Hunters

Four American patriotic snipers have settled on the roofs of various buildings and kill everything that moves. They rightfully believe that it was people who led the country to decline, and they shoot at them first. Such sporting interest makes it very difficult to move, so it’s better to start exterminating the hunters right away.

Their location can be determined by the direction of the shots. If a zombie has just dropped dead in front of you, it means one of the quartet is holed up nearby. You can fight him either with a sniper rifle, which will not have a very good effect on Chuck’s health, or by climbing onto his roof. The second option is more effective, because warriors pose a danger only with firearms in their hands, and in close combat they grab knives, which they don’t really know how to handle.

...and bosses

In addition to the usual psychopaths, Chuck Greene also faces dangerous bosses, which are especially common at the end of the game (literally in every chapter). They are stronger than crazy people, and also more cunning, since most of them have retained their sanity.

Twins

Crystal and Amber are rare beauties, faithful assistants to T.K., the host of “It’s a Cruel World.” They are devoted to their dark-skinned friend and his cause, no matter how evil and vile it may be. And when girls with lesbian tendencies capture Rebecca, Chuck rushes to the rescue.

Fighting two angry tigresses is not an easy task, but you don’t need to kill both, one is enough. Select a target and attack only it, avoiding the attacks of the other young lady (to dodge, jump on the table or jump over the fence).

It is better to take the fight with a fire pistol (a combination of a water pistol and fuel) and something weighty, like a steel blade, laser sword and baton. Smart girls will hit Green several times in any case, but if you haven't stocked up on medicine, no problem, there's plenty of booze around.

By finishing off one of the twins, you will end the fight and free Rebecca.

Helicopter

“Helicopter” is not the character’s nickname, it’s a real military helicopter on which T.K. is going to fly away with the stolen money. Your goal is to stop him and interrogate him.

Resourceful Chuck will attach the helicopter to the winch from the crane, so that the “bird” will not fly far. While it is in a suspended state, throw everything that comes to hand into the propeller - lamps, weapons, best of all, boxes. Then, as soon as the helicopter rises, T.K.'s partner will try to shoot Green with a machine gun. This attempt is doomed to failure - turn the winch as soon as this action becomes available. Then break the screw again, and so on until the turntable collapses. To win without spending health, hide behind the boxes a second before the helicopter takes off - then the shooter will not have time to open fire.

Sergeant Dwight Boykin

After the defeat of the soldiers and the failure of the evacuation, Sergeant Boykin went crazy. He took refuge in the basement, took Rebecca hostage, believing her to be a zombie, and fired back at the walking dead, while communicating with the corpses of his brothers in arms.

The only sure way to kill a sergeant is to shoot him with two hundred and fifty, or even three hundred rounds of ammunition from a machine gun. It is better not to come close to him - a powerful uppercut will instantly knock Chuck down. And you need to keep your distance carefully: Boykin is armed with a machine gun and grenades, which he throws every few seconds. The ideal strategy is to hide behind the pillar near where Green entered, pick up the lemons, send them to the return address and shoot, shoot, shoot! The sergeant is tough, but not immortal.

Sullivan

Sullivan is the toughest opponent in Fortuna. You have to fight him on the roof of the casino, which is full of zombies. A man has climbed onto a structure in the middle of the site and is waiting for a plane to pick him up. From there he shoots and throws signal lights, focusing on which the plane conducts the bombing.

Do not go up to the enemy - it is useless, he will still throw Chuck down, and he will suffer not only from the blow, but also from the fall. It is best to hide behind the hedge at the entrance, carefully kill the zombies living nearby and wait for “signals” from Sullivan. They need to be immediately grabbed and thrown back so that the bomber hits the boss. Ten to twelve missiles - and the traitor will die.

The problem is that such tactics require a fair amount of dexterity. If you can’t cope, arm yourself with two machine guns, two hundred rounds each, hide behind the same fence, lean out a little around the corner and shoot. Sullivan takes about three hundred and fifty hits before finally dying.

Tyrone King (TK)

The last fight is only available in the Overtime mode if you have received access to the “correct” ending. To do this, you need to complete all the main tasks, most of the secondary ones, and most importantly, give T.K. the zombrex when he needs it.

The battle with the host of “This Cruel World” takes place under the dome of the “Arena”, and Chuck is unarmed, while a psychotic black man bludgeons him with a mace microphone, and shoots if necessary. In addition, Stacy and Katie are suspended on a rope, which every second drops lower and lower to the hungry zombies.

Run to the platform with fireworks, pick up the boxes one at a time, throw them on the floor, pick up weapons and provisions. You will probably have to make more than one circle, since you cannot stop while doing this - fireworks are going on all the time. When you feel ready to fight (two juice packs and three items to hit your opponent's hat), come back.

Let TK knock you down a couple of times, then play the familiar keypress mini-game and dodge the blows and knock him back. At such moments, the boss is especially vulnerable and does not resist. Having received enough damage, he disappears in an unknown direction, only to return in a minute. During this time, you can heal or raise your girls higher.

Once you have a weapon and are able to lick your wounds, the battle will go very quickly, and T-K will seem like a weakling. Finish him off and watch the final video - the game is completed!

Best combinations

There are fifty-four weapon combinations in Dead Rising 2. Here is a list of the best ones.

  • Battle with spikes (bat + nails). The first and one of the most valuable acquisitions. A powerful weapon, suitable even against bosses.
  • Stone thrower (gems + pneumatic machine). Strong shooting gun. Fires with shot, kills normal and infected zombies with one shot.
  • Ripper (concrete saw + saw blade). The blades of this unit tear zombies into pieces and cause good damage to psychopaths.
  • Burning gloves (boxing gloves + motor oil). An impressive weapon, suitable for fighting off a large crowd.
  • Shredder (robot mask + lawn mower). A stupid robot mask with a propeller on its head clears the road very quickly. The ideal way to bring survivors safely to shelter.
  • Freddy's gloves (cleaver + boxing gloves). Another variation on the glove theme, another great way to end the crowd.
  • Destroyer (sledgehammer + fire axe). One of the most powerful types of melee weapons, the full potential of which is revealed during an alternative attack - Chuck spins up, kills everyone with one blow, and each death brings three hundred and fifty experience points.
  • Grenade launcher (fireworks rocket + pipe). A powerful firearm, best suited for fighting hunters.
  • Laser Sword (gems + lantern). The most powerful melee weapon, a great choice for boss fights.
  • Dynastrel (bow + dynamite). A bow that shoots dynamite is a powerful thing in any situation. Best used against hunters and magicians Reed and Roger.

This cruel world

Dead Rising 2's multiplayer mode is the most fun we've ever seen. No other game will offer you the opportunity to mock zombies with four people, participating in an entertainment show and earning tens and even hundreds of thousands of dollars, which can be transferred to the account of the main character in a single game.

Online battles have only two problems. Firstly, you cannot choose a game mode - the game itself sets them randomly.

The second flaw is Games for Windows LIVE, and this is a global problem. Microsoft has not yet launched it in the CIS countries, and if you indicated your real address when registering, you most likely will not be able to use it.

Fortunately, not so long ago the Windows Live ID service appeared on the Internet, where you can create a single account to log in to all Microsoft resources. Register there, then use the new account to register in LIVE, but do not go through the regular site (www.microsoft.com/games) but through the English version of what is intended for Xbox 360 (www.xbox.com/en-US/live ), - there are no problems with choosing a country.

Most often, it is this mode that opens the competition. Players are in round cages in which they can ride around the arena and shoot down zombies. For each collision, points are awarded, which you can add to your piggy bank by hitting one of the pillars (there are more than enough of them). The difficulty is that only a player who has the right to earn points can earn points. You can get it in two ways: draw lots at the very beginning (the game itself chooses the lucky one) or crash into the one who has it at the moment.

To take priority, you need to predict your opponents' moves. Don’t chase them on their heels - work ahead of the curve, cut off the road. And don’t even think about collaborating with anyone, this idea is doomed to failure, here it’s every man for himself.

Once you have the right to harvest, hit the poles as often as possible. It is generally advisable to move from one pillar to another using acceleration (left mouse button), but at the same time constantly change the route - otherwise you will become an easy target for opponents. If you notice an intrusive “tail” that is about to appear nearby, move to the side and ride along the semicircular walls of the arena..

Zomboni

In this mode you have to squeeze... juice out of zombies. Contestants are put on a mixture of juicers and tractors, locked in a small quadrangular arena, placed in corners and launched into the middle of the living dead. The blades at the bottom of your unit are constantly working, so you only need to knock down an unfortunate zombie to recycle it. The resulting mixture of meat and bones must be poured into the mouth of one of the four figures in the corners.

The mistake that most players make is to rush to the center from the very first seconds, where there are more zombies. The problem is that if at least two out of four participants think so, a traffic jam will form where it is impossible to either drive through or collect material. From the very beginning, go to the side, there are also plenty of raw materials there.

It's not easy to pour blood into the vault. Firstly, only two figures open their mouths at the same time, and it is not always immediately obvious which ones. Secondly, particularly arrogant players decide that you are bored just standing still, and try to knock you down, taking your place in the sun. It doesn’t even occur to many that you can just stand next to them - points will still be awarded.

Bowling mania

The guys above are famous zombie acrobats.

Players stand on platforms opposite a square block with doors. Each one has a cannon that shoots colorful balls. The doors of the building periodically open, and zombies hide behind them. The task is to shoot down as many walking corpses as possible.

First of all, you need to aim at the “prize” zombies (they have a pink ball above their head). For shooting at them you will receive one of three prizes: additional points, a few seconds of balls constantly flying out of the cannon, and a chance to play a trick on your opponents by creating a “crush” on one of the opponents (in fact, this refers to equipment failure, which is why the localizers decided to call it that - mystery). To get rid of the “crush,” you need to play another mini-game.

There is no specific recipe for victory; Bowlingomania is designed for attentiveness. Good reaction and accuracy are what will help you win. Also, try not to focus on one sector of the building, but look at it all at once - this way you have a better chance of noticing the pink zombie that has appeared.

Pound Tenderloin

Quite a fun mode in which each player is equipped with a separate platform, deer antlers on their heads and their own zombies that need to be thrown onto the scales. Points are given by the weight that you throw from one site to another, so the calculation here is either quantity or quality. Or both - it all depends on your skills.

To win for sure, try to accelerate every time before swinging your horns - then the zombies will fly straight, and not to the side, and with a hundred percent probability they will hit the target. Aiming exclusively at fat people is a thankless task; try to hit everyone with your horns at once. And don't stand still for a long time. And the timer is ticking, and the carrion around is not averse to dining on you.

Headhunting

Four players, armed with sniper rifles, are on separate platforms in different corners of the square arena. Zombies are running from the four gates towards the center of the site (where there is a huge meat slicer).

It’s worth shooting at everyone, giving preference, however, to the “prize” zombies - they bring additional points. In addition, a moving target is suspended from the meat grinder - if you hit it, the competitors' platforms will be covered with metal barriers.

Surprisingly, it is not worth shooting at the target. Aim at the gate where the zombies are running out and open fire. Try to kill them before they even reach the arena.

When one of the opponents hits the target and the barriers close your area, move a little to the right or left and find a gap. You can also shoot through it, while the others stand, waiting by the sea for weather (for some reason, few people realize that the barriers are not solid). Moreover, while opponents are trying to harm each other and wasting time, you still continue to earn points.

Headache

The most cruel way to get rid of unfortunate zombies is to put mixers on their heads and turn them on. The main task is to collect as many corpses with mixers as possible and only then activate them by hitting the big red button; Each new victim increases the number of points.

Mixers can be taken from the kiosk in the middle of the arena. Usually four are given out, but every two times dynamite appears instead of one of them. If you want, you can stick it in someone’s mouth and tear it up, but it’s better to throw it into enemy territory - the explosion knocks off the “caps” from the zombies, and the enemies have to start from scratch. The main thing is not to get bombed yourself, and if you notice a shell, pick it up and throw it back.

Zombie comedy

In the original, the name, of course, sounds better (Zomedy - “Zomedy”), but this does not change the meaning. At this stage of the competition, you need to run up to zombies and dress them up in funny outfits: put on a ballet tutu, pierce them with a toy horse on a pole and put a flower pot on their head. The more people you bring to the world of high fashion, the more points you earn.

The problem is that all three wardrobe items are in different stalls. Do not try to fully dress more than five or six zombies - you will never succeed due to the interference of your opponents: they can attach their things to your “models”, and the game encourages this. Stick to the following tactics: equip a few of your “models” first, and then focus on hindering your opponents.

Master Gatherer

All players are given tournament spears, and that's where the similarities to jousting end. A second after the start, targets appear on the floor, which gradually decrease in size. Zombies are flying down in their direction. To score points, you need to impale the dead on the tip of the pike.

No more than two targets appear at a time. Having run up to one of them and having met an enemy there, press the left mouse button - a mini-game will begin in which you need to press the keys indicated on the screen as quickly as possible. The one who does the best job will automatically push away the opponents and get points.

Points are awarded depending on the number of opponents: if there was no resistance at all, you will receive a thousand points, if you fought with one enemy - two thousand, with two - three, with three - four.

Motor cutter

The final stage of each competition, it also appears at the beginning of the campaign. A large arena full of zombies, four motorcyclists on sports bikes with chainsaws attached and meat, meat, meat!

Depending on how many points you scored after three “tests”, the game will determine your place in the race. The first player starts immediately, the second after three to four seconds, the third after five to six seconds, and the fourth after seven to nine seconds. But the beginning of the race, which is more like a warm-up, is not so important as its middle, when “prize” zombies with pink balls above their heads appear in the arena. By this point, there are a hell of a lot of dead people, so even with a sudden attack of pacifism, it will not be possible to drive without casualties.

To win, you will need the ability to choose the right route and brake in time. You should start stopping somewhere in the middle of the arena, while simultaneously turning the steering wheel left or right in order to instantly turn around and rush into battle again. It is necessary to cut mainly those that bring additional points - this is very profitable. It is advisable to get into several groups at the same time, but you can simply make corridors of ordinary zombies before crashing into the “prize” ones.

1 2 All

You need to play this game a little differently than all the others. Firstly, it is designed for several playthroughs, and after each playthrough you can save the upgrade of your hero and start the game over again with a level 20 death machine. First, I'll talk about the basics of the game, briefly talk about the story, touch on the topic of weapons and give some tips, and move on to the bosses - the most difficult aspect of the game.

So, you are Chuck Greene, the biker. Fortune City is overrun by zombies, one of which bit your daughter, Katie. She is sick and may turn into a zombie. To prevent this from happening, you need to give her Zombrex, a special medicine that inhibits the transformation. Obviously, this medicine is very difficult to find. You will receive it in the process of completing various side and story missions, which I will not describe due to their large number and simplicity. You can still buy Zombrex, but it requires money. Katie should be given Zombrex every day, between 7 and 8 a.m., no earlier and no later. If you haven’t found Zombrex as you progress through the missions, go to the raiders’ shop and buy it, the cost is $25,000. Therefore, always look for money, it will never be superfluous. A particularly good place in this regard is the casino. Lots of slot machines, ATMs, all sorts of mini-games where you can win a big sum - there's plenty of room to roam. But other locations will also help you in the earning process.

Now let's move on to weapons. There are simply tons of all kinds of bladed weapons and firearms in the game. The latter is very questionable to use due to its general ineffectiveness and inconvenience in shooting zombies. So don't try to find a shotgun or pistol. Where effective are all kinds of bits, saws, swords. One of the main features of the game is the design of weapons. that is, you can take a baseball bat, nails, cross them and get a new weapon - a baseball bat with nails! The ultimate weapon is my favorite, by the way. Very mobile, has a very high damage per second ratio, so I recommend it. There are countless options for modifying and combining weapons and items, so coming up with weapon combinations can be a fun experience. Not everything is so rosy. The weapon breaks quite quickly, literally 12-16 hits and that’s it. A fairly justified move so that players do not constantly carry the same weapon and constantly experiment. In addition to weapons, you can pick up any object and throw it at a zombie/hit a zombie with it. the effectiveness varies depending on the mass and size, it is obvious that with a handbag you will not only not kill zombies, but you will not even cripple them. In turn, a successfully thrown large vase of flowers can crush the brain of more than one zombie.

Let's move on to the bosses - the most difficult and unpleasant moment of the game. On your first playthrough, don’t even try to fight them - they’ll kill you with just one left hand. Here I'll list the bosses, the recommended level to complete them, and a couple of tips about each encounter. Ultimate weapon, almost always useful: claw glove, sniper.

Brandon Whittaker

Psychopath holding a girl hostage in a toilet. Quite a dangerous guy, delivers quick and powerful blows, hides in toilet stalls. I recommend taking with you a bat with nails, a propane tank (combined with nails) and food or something else to restore your health, and more. He will jump into booths, wait there, then suddenly jump out and try to damage you. At this time, before his attacks, hit him with a bat, deliver a couple of blows and retreat, let him run into the booth. Repeat n-times. You can run from the toilet for food or weapons, he will not chase you and will obediently wait for your return, which will make your task much easier.

Antoine Thomas

The crazy chef was waiting for a journalist to write about his dish and him. I was very disappointed when I found out that Chuck was not a journalist, and besides, he was holding a hostage in his kitchen, probably for some dish. He wants to make dinner out of us too, let’s stop him.

Dangerous guy. He runs quite fast, hits himself painfully with a frying pan, and can also throw plates at you. It would be ideal to kill him with a sniper rifle - I hope you got one for yourself. We just shoot at him from a decent distance so that he can’t reach us and punish us with a frying pan. When he runs up to you, run away, don’t stand. When his health indicator goes down, watch the video.

Leon Bell

Motorcyclist from the Arena, you competed with him at the very beginning. now you have to kill him.

We just run away from him on a motorcycle. When he stops to tease you, we drive up and hit him, then run away again. Try not to get stuck somewhere, otherwise it will be the end. It may turn out that it will get stuck - so much the easier for you.

Ted & Snowflake

This is absolutely hilarious. Trainer with a tiger. We found Chuck, now the trainer wants to feed him to the snowball, otherwise the zombies are rotten and won’t do. In general, a sniper against him and his pet is an ideal choice, but a shotgun is also suitable. Climb higher on the rock and shoot at it so that it doesn't reach you.

Rednecks

The villagers gathered in a group to chop down zombies, while simultaneously conducting funny dialogues about ruling this country. Using their claws, dodge sniper shots along the way.

Carl Schliff

Another crazy guy, this time a postman. He gave us a package that turned out to be a bomb. Loves order and routine, methodical work. Runs around with a shotgun. I recommend against him a bat with nails and food, of course, to replenish his health.

Randy Thugman

A fat psychopath, he decided to marry the girl, and he enrolled his father as a priest so that he could officiate the wedding. He scares them with a chainsaw, then he sawed his dad when Chuck came in. It's time to interrupt this “wedding.” Any powerful firearm will do against him; I don’t recommend using it at close quarters; after all, a chainsaw is not the best weapon against which you can go headlong.

Slappy

A man dressed as some boy with glasses. He also blames Jack for the fact that he is to blame for the current situation. rides fast on roller skates and fires flamethrowers. A dangerous opponent, I advise you to use a sniper/machine gun against him, stock up on food, run behind shop windows from him, keep him at a distance.

The Twins

Charming twin sisters who are as beautiful as they are deadly. They are fluent in melee weapons. I recommend stocking up on painkillers and choosing Defiler as a weapon - a combination of a sledgehammer and a fire axe. Kills these girls with a bang. Maneuver, strike quickly, dodge, and victory will be yours.

The Magicians

The would-be wizards want to pull off a trick with cutting a man into a hostage. It is necessary to stop them. A good old bat with nails works great, a sledgehammer/axe works great too. Firearms from the sniper/machine gun category are also quite suitable. Don't forget to take some food.

Sgt. Dwight

A seasoned warrior, he takes out zombies with a machine gun. shell-shocked, I suppose, because he proudly shoots zombies alone, simultaneously giving commands to the corpses of his dead comrades. Sniper him, without ceremony. Take cover behind the cars, because his machine gun hits are very painful.

Sullivan

A dangerous opponent. Bring a fire ax and a claw glove. Sullivan will be standing on the scaffolding, shooting at you. As soon as you climb up to him, hand-to-hand combat will begin. Sullivan is very deft at dodging and delivering melee strikes. The blows are very dangerous; an uppercut can easily destroy 60% of your health. Knock him down to the ground and hit him with the axe, then dodge so that he doesn't hit you. Repeat the procedure. You can try and hit from afar, with a machine gun, for example. Or a sniper.

The Sheriff

Crazy security guard playing sheriff with a hostage. A claw bat, or a sniper bat. Don't give in to blows, otherwise there are no difficulties.

The Scientists

Crazy scientists and professors, growing some biological samples in their laboratory, working for someone higher up. Shoot them with a machine gun.

Bibi Love

This mission with the pop star extended my life by exactly two years. There is so much funny in her speech and comments from the booby-trapped black man at the table. It won’t even be a battle, but almost like a mini-game. Nothing complicated, I won’t spoil the impression for you and tell you what the mission is and what you will need to do for it. Just complete it, in exchange for the booby-trapped people held hostage by Bibi.

That's all the bosses. Now let's move on to the endings

S (best) ending.

Get it if you give Tykay Zombrex.

We will be grabbed by the show's host, Tikay, then suspended above the stadium along with Katie and Stacy. Fight him, kill him before Katie and Stacy die. Use the most powerful melee weapons, load up on food and other things to the maximum. When you're done, watch the video. Happy ending, the heroes leave together and happy, and at the end there is also a surprise.

A (good) ending.

The supposed correct ending, but in fact the correct ending is S. This one is close to good. We learn that the producers of Zombrex are behind all this (it took a long time to get to this point). We watch a dramatic video, Sullivan betrayed everyone. Let's go after him. We follow the sign. We arrive and we have a battle with Sullivan, which I already described in the bosses section.

B,C,D,F (bad) endings.

B - will be if you fail any important task in cases: after Case 6-1: Help Arrives, during Case 6-4: Breach, during The Facts and you do not replay. Bombers arrive and destroy everything with fire.

C - If you fail the tasks before 6-1, but save Katie, you will get this ending. Go into the bugger, hear screams and shots, go investigate. Someone shoots you (probably Sullivan) and runs away.

D - Cases are not filled up, but not completed, you are on the street when the military arrives, or you fail tasks before 6-1 and save/do not save Katie, but are outside. You are riding in the back of a truck, and the military is taking you to their place. The city has been bombed, suddenly you see green gas and the screen goes blank.

F - Chuck does not save Katie, fails/does not have time to complete the case, and he is inside the bunker. Chuck is standing in the bunker, holding Katie's backpack. Stacy asks Chuck not to blame himself for Katie's death, but he is too shocked and just looks at the backpack, ignoring everything else. Zombies break into the bunker, Chuck doesn’t resist and they eat him right on the floor, and Stacy watches this in horror, because she’s next. The city was then bombed by the military.

This walkthrough concerns exclusively the plot part of the game. Additional missions will only be completed if necessary! Despite the fact that the plot contains as many as 7 endings, this article will consider only one. Read how to find the rest at the end of the article.

Arena.

Let's watch the introductory video. We play as Chuck Greene, who in a few minutes will have to enter the arena and shred dozens of zombies. We roll through the crowd several times, trying not to hit our opponents. To turn quickly, use the brakes. Taking first place is easy as pie if you act without fuss. We watch the video, after receiving the money, we go to our daughter. The arrow in the center indicates the path to the selected task. You can only save in the toilet, think about this in advance, because there are no checkpoints in the game. We enter the elevator and watch the video. The zombie invasion has begun. Using available means, we destroy the walking corpses. Also, if we are injured, we consume food (drinks restore more health). Fire extinguishers work well against an oncoming crowd. We take Katie from the VIP room and quickly go out into the street, having orientated ourselves, we find ourselves in the shelter. Help will arrive only in three days, and Katie needs Zombrex every 24 hours. This means that during the entire game we will need at least three packages. At the shelter we meet Stacey, who wants to help us find a cure. She hands us a walkie-talkie and tells us the secret entrance/exit from the shelter. There is a limited time for each task; if we don’t make it in time for a certain event, we risk losing all of the game’s progress. We leave the shelter and head to the pharmacy. Boxes and trash bags can contain useful items, from spoiled hamburgers to heavy bricks. Spoiled food restores a large amount of health, but causes periodic belching. Fighting every zombie is a thankless task, especially during missions. This process may take a long time, and as we remember, we have limited time. Having reached the pharmacy, we discover that a gang of marauders is in charge there. We quickly deal with them and get the key. We open the door and take the zombrex from the table. In the next room, you can save the surviving nurse. They will constantly follow us, the main goal is to deliver her to the shelter. You can give her weapons and food. Having arrived at the shelter, before entering it, we must wait until the rescued person is standing close to us. Only after this will she be able to move with us to another location. Since it's too early to give Katie the medicine, you can look around. Look for useful items, chat with people.

Case 1.

We were accused of releasing zombies. Now we need to find evidence and restore our reputation. Before leaving the shelter, we communicate with Sullivan. He gives us the key to all the doors where we can create powerful items. Here is a list of some combinations in the game:

Lantern + Gems = Lightsaber
Machete + Broom Handle = Polearm
Baseball Bat + Box of Nails = Spiked Bat
Spear + Drill = Driller

The main currency is still money. You can use them to buy ready-made items and, most importantly, zombrex. Money is found in store cash registers, ATMs and casinos. By destroying slot machines you can make a good fortune. We get to the hotel and meet journalist Rebbeka Chang there. Having prepared, we speak and follow her to the security room, where we can find significant evidence of our innocence. Along the way, we accept the offer to save in the nearest toilet. Arriving at the place, we see that everything in the room is destroyed, and the guard is killed, and, moreover, it was not a zombie who was killed. We take the call: Sullivan is furious to see us live on TV. We urgently need to return to the shelter. Having returned and settled the conflict, you will have to wait a little until the next task. At this time, you can carry out additional missions to save people or go hunting for the dead.

Case 2.

Let's go to the subway. Save locations are not always marked on the map, so you have to find them yourself. Still, they are easy to spot; they are usually marked with green signs. Let's watch the video. We quickly move a little to the right and wait for the guard to come closer. We select the sledgehammer lying nearby and kill him. There are two more to go. We select a machine gun and shoot one of them, preferably in the head. We shoot a few bullets at a time, and not excitedly. We finish off the third with a sledgehammer. If you managed to pick up the mercenaries' weapons, then it will be easier. Let's watch the video. On a motorcycle you need to jump onto the carriage. We keep an average distance from the train; if we get too close, we will either be shot or bombarded with explosive cylinders. Having found the moment, we jump from the platforms along the edges directly onto the carriage. The first mercenary is already running towards us, we hide and replenish our health with the juice lying nearby. We pass forward, killing the others with a machine gun. The closer we are to the enemy, the higher the effectiveness of the weapon. TK manages to escape. After getting off at the station, turn right. There is a small transport, we get into it and ride along the rails to the first platform on the left. There will be a ladder to reach the surface, and next to it lies one pack of Zombrex. We return to the shelter.

Case 3.

TK still can’t calm down, this time he decided to rob all the Fortune City casinos. Now we can instantly destroy zombies in close proximity to us. To do this, it is enough to catch the “queen” (this is a flying creature similar to a bumblebee) and crush it and the living dead will be beheaded. For the task, it is advisable to take an item from the powerful drill + spear bundle. This weapon will allow you to very quickly and effectively deal with several mercenaries at once. After destroying the soldiers, we smash to smithereens the drilling machines trying to drill through the thick vault door. In the last casino we find the tallest structure, climb it and pick up a machine gun and a pack of Zombrex. We destroy the remnants of resisting opponents. We receive a new message that there are still opponents nearby. They throw grenades, so you have to constantly be on the move. We destroy the van.

Case 4.

For the mission we take a lightsaber (flashlight + gems). The flashlight can be picked up from a dead marauder. Looters usually rob stores, most often jewelry stores. We stock up on a small amount of food. Let's go to the dance hall. In front of the entrance there will be a bar counter where a shotgun lies. Rebbeka was tied up by TK's assistants. To win, it is enough to kill one of them, so we choose the one we like and concentrate our forces on it. First we use a shotgun, if there is no shotgun, laser sword. After attacking us, they will circle around the entire site, during which time you can replenish your health with alcoholic drinks, of which there are a lot of good things. You need to attack a little at a time, otherwise they will get angry and get the taste, and their strength is enough to kill us with a few combo attacks. We select a couple of wonderful swords. Before returning to the shelter, let's stop by the ranch casino. We find the stage, behind the scenes we climb up the boxes and take away the zombrex.

We inject Katie with a new dose, as a result of which she suddenly became ill.

Case 5.

We climb to the roof of the shelter building. We observe the arrival of a helicopter. We are going to the Fortuna City Hotel to meet TK. From now on, Fortune Park will be controlled by snipers, who can be identified and killed, and take the captured sniper rifle for yourself. Upon entering the hotel, there will be five mercenaries on the left, and if you go straight along the corridor, you can reach a save point. So, if you got a sniper rifle, you can deal with them without any problems, or you can buy a machine gun for 20 thousand in a pawnshop, which is located in Fortune Park. TK is waiting for us on the roof. The actions will be as follows: we pull the winch - the helicopter remains in one position, we throw a heavy object at it, we move away, we take the next object (we restore health), we pull the winch again, dodging shots. If you forgot to bring food with you, that's okay. A little behind there is a table with two bottles of beer. TK is defeated and taken to the shelter!

We wait for the morning and give our daughter Zombrex. What we found should be enough, because we will need another portion, not counting this one. If you don’t have enough, you can buy it at a pawnshop for 25 thousand.

Case 6.

So, the military arrived and fell straight into the clutches of merciless zombies. Only one commander survived. But you shouldn’t rely on him, because he went crazy and, on top of that, grabbed Rebecca. He is hiding in the underground. The zombies, having sniffed the gas, began to run even faster. For the mission you need to take something heavier. Having gone down, we get into the loader and follow the arrow to the platform. There we will immediately see a technical room and right in front of it another loader. There is a shotgun near him - we take it. At the edge of the platform we climb on a motorcycle and ride through the warehouses. At the intersection, turn left and save. Nearby lies a sledgehammer and two juices. We get to the commander. He prefers to shoot us from a distance and throw grenades at us if we are not in his line of sight. Therefore, we approach him as close as possible and shoot with a shotgun. Twenty shots are enough to practically kill him, but a sledgehammer will finish him off. Don't let yourself get hit, because he is also good in hand-to-hand combat. We watch carefully where the grenades are flying. After the victory, we take Rebecca in our arms and run all the way to the shelter.

The main door of the shelter was broken through by zombies. It is necessary to restore the damaged mechanism. We find the necessary items and block the entrance.

TK is infected, and the city will soon begin to be bombarded.

Case 7.

We give TK a dose of Zombrex and go to the underground laboratory for evidence. We will take with us any firearm to destroy the mercenaries. Entering the laboratory, we watch the video. Then we quickly run to the other side and climb a little higher. We move forward and kill two, a little further two more. We take as many machine guns as we need and a shock frequency weapon, which are capable of destroying mutated undead in batches; unfortunately, they do not work on ordinary ones. We go further, where we will meet two scientists; killing them with a machine gun will not be difficult. We return to the shelter.

Data.

Finally everything fell into place. It was not TK who was at the head of this entire operation; one might even say he was just a pawn trying to profit from this disaster. We set off in pursuit of Sullivan. This mission requires a machine gun and a shotgun, which you can purchase at a pawn shop, or you can try to find it yourself. The machine gun can be found, as before, in the ranch casino. Before going out onto the roof, let's clear a section of the stairs. We watch the video and quickly move back. We look out, shoot, trying to hit the head, and retreat to the stairs so that the blast wave of grenades thrown by Sullivan cannot harm us. When the cartridges run out, we boldly climb up to him on a hill and shoot him with a shotgun. Watch the final video. But this is not the only ending, as mentioned earlier. Read the full list and what needs to be done below.

2) Give medicine to Katie. Save the shelter. Do not give medicine to TK.
3) Give medicine to Katie. No evidence to be found.
4) Don't give the medicine to Katie. No evidence to be found.
5) Don't give the medicine to Katie. Find evidence. Can't save the shelter.
6) Not arriving at the arena on time.
7) During the bombing, do not meet the allotted time.

Chuck Greene takes part in the "It's a Cruel World" competition.

After one of the fights, Chuck returns for his daughter as usual. However, during the ascent on the elevator, an explosion occurred. Chuck managed to get out of the elevator, but what he saw was much worse. The entire Arena was swarming with hordes of zombies. Chuck manages to find Katie and escape from there. A terrible picture opened before him - the entire city was filled with the living dead, killing all the living. Chuck and his daughter make their way into an underground shelter, along with several other survivors. There they are met by Sulivan, the head of the shelter. He noticed the bite on Katie and didn't want to let them in. Later he still agreed, but only if everything was in order.

Chuck escapes from the shelter through the ventilation system. The entire city was already overrun by zombies. Chuck headed to the pharmacy to get Zombrex. There he was attacked by marauders. Chuck manages to stop them and save the pharmacy worker. He brings her to the shelter, and at the same time gets Zombrex, which he then gives to Katie. Suddenly they report on TV that Chuck is the culprit of the invasion. Chuck realizes that he has been framed and that he needs evidence to prove his innocence. He goes to one of the unfinished hotels, where he finds Rebecca Chang, a journalist. She has information about Chuck, but won't reveal the source. Together they go to the security room, but someone has already destroyed everything there. Chuck and Rebekah return to the shelter, where Sulivan was already waiting for them. He found out about everything and threatens to kick Chuck and his daughter out. Later, he gives a condition - Chuck can look for survivors, evidence, etc., but if he disappears or dies, no one will look for him. Chuck has only 72 hours before the military arrives to prove his innocence. Rebekah, Chuck and Stacy continue their investigation.

Stacy, through a surveillance camera, sees some people loading equipment. Chuck goes into the dungeons, where he is attacked by mercenaries. Chuck manages to get on the train. There he finds out the true culprit of the invasion - T.K., who did all this just for the sake of money. Chuck lets him go and returns to the shelter. Katie needs Zombrex again. Chuck finds the drug and gives it to his daughter. But then the shelter begins to shake. Mysterious explosions shake the entire city. Chuck comes to the surface, where he unravels another of T.K.'s plans: he intends to rob all the casinos in the city and then leave Fortuna. Chuck destroys the mercenaries and equipment, ruining T.K.'s plan.

Chuck goes back to the shelter. However, he cannot find Rebeca. After some time, he receives a call from her, asking him to come to a nightclub in one of the casinos. Chuck arrives at his destination, where he sees Rebekah being held captive by the Bailey Twins. He manages to defeat them and free Rebeca. Together they get to the shelter. Katie needs her dose of Zombrex again. But when Chuck gives the injection, Katie loses consciousness - this is one of the side effects of the medicine. Later, Katie comes to her senses. Rebecca made an appointment on the roof and there she and Chuck notice how T.K. and his people are trying to fly out of town with the money. Chuck and Rebekah manage to catch up with them. The helicopter gets caught on the cable and cannot fly away. Chuck breaks the helicopter's propellers, causing it to crash. TK falls onto the landing and loses consciousness. Chuck brings him to the shelter so that Tyrone will answer for his actions in court.

Chuck gives Katie the last dose of Zombrex. The time comes - the military arrives on the territory of Fortuna. Suddenly, a greenish gas begins to pour out of the ventilation, causing the zombies to mutate. The entire detachment was destroyed, only Sergeant Boykin remained alive. Chuck finds the sergeant, but he has already gone crazy and also captures Rebeca. Chuck manages to defeat the psychopath and return Rebeca to the shelter. TK comes to his senses. Chuck asks him about the setup, to which Tyrone replies that "someone had to be extreme." Since all the military are dead, the city is considered completely infected. An airstrike is expected in 17 hours, and all survivors must make their own way out of the city. But then someone broke the gate and zombies broke into the shelter. Chuck manages to close the gate. In a panic, TK tries to escape, but is bitten by the living dead. Tyrone begs Chuck to get him Zombrex. T.K. is lucky: his body is more resistant to infection, which means there is time to save him.

Chuck learns that all the gas comes from underground. Going down into the tunnels, he discovers large gas tanks that are protected by the military. Chuck kills military men and scientists. He finds a laptop containing information about the gas. It turned out that the Phenotrans company was behind everything. It is she who produces the drug Zombrex. Chuck brings the laptop to the shelter, but no one understands why the company that produces Zombrex would conduct experiments on the dead. Rebekah finds the answer: the drug is no longer so popular in the world, and in order for it to become popular again, the company provoked an invasion of the dead. Rebeka tries to tell everything to the authorities, but Sulivan kills her. He is an agent of the company, and since the city will soon be destroyed, no one will know about the company's plans. Chuck follows him to the rooftops of the hotels, where in an unequal battle he kills Sulivan.

Endings

Depending on the player's actions during the passage, you can get seven different ending options:

  • Ending S

To get this ending, the player must complete all story missions, give Katie Zombrex, and must also give Zombrex to T.K.

Chuck brings the laptop to the hideout. There they figure out the company's true plans. Rebekah understands that all this is just to increase sales of Zombrex. Sulivan realizes that the company's conspiracy has been exposed. He kills Rebeca and runs away. Chuck finds him on the roof of the hotel, where he kills him. At the shelter, Chuck doesn't find Katie and Stacy. TK tells him that he was the one who kidnapped them and gives him conditions to save them. Chuck completes them by finding the things he needs. On his way to the arena, he is stunned by T.K. and is suspended above the arena along with Stacy and Katie. Chuck gets out of his bonds and fights T.K. on the platform. TK dies, and Chuck, along with Katie and Stacy, leave.

  • Ending A

To get this ending, the player must complete all story missions, give Katie Zombrex, but not give the drug to T.K.

Then he, Katie and Stacy go to the helipad, where a helicopter is already waiting for them. Katie drops her backpack and Chuck runs back to pick it up. At this moment, the elevator doors open and Chuck is attacked by a zombified T.K. Chuck throws Stacy's backpack and tells her to take care of Katie. The elevator doors then close, trapping Chuck and the zombies. Katie and Stacy fly away, leaving Chuck in the elevator with the zombies. This ending is canonical, since immediately after this ending the events of Dead Rising 2: Case West begin, where T.K. has almost overpowered Chuck, but suddenly Frank West, the main character of Dead Rising, comes to the rescue, having flown to the city for Rebecca. Also from the Case West expansion, some characters appear in Dead Rising 3.

  • Ending B

To get this ending, the player must give Katie Zombrex, complete all missions up to "Case 6-4", and fail it.

The military drops several bombs on the city, completely destroying the city, the dead, and all survivors.

  • Ending C

To get this ending, the player must give Katie Zombrex, fail the last mission, and be inside the bunker when the military arrives.

The military arrives in the city. They get to the shelter. Stacy sees them on the cameras, but Sullivan (it is he, not the military, which is also evidenced by the fact that the sounds of the shots are the sounds of a pistol shot in the game, plus the military could not shoot the zombies along the way in a few seconds and immediately reach the shelter) takes advantage of this and begins to shoot the survivors so that there are no witnesses left (to understand why, watch his description and plot). Chuck decides to check what's going on, but he barely gets to the door when he gets shot.

  • Ending D

To get this ending, the player must not give Katie Zombrex, and on the final day must remain outside the shelter when the military arrives.

Chuck is captured by the military. They take him out of town to answer for the invasion he organized (which was actually staged, and Chuck was framed). However, the military encounters a large concentration of zombies. The car carrying Chuck stops. The military starts shooting. The car fills with greenish gas.

  • Ending E

To get this ending, you just need to not come to the arena.

The ending is identical to Ending D, however instead of the commandos running into zombies, the car simply stops and the car is then filled with green gas.

  • Ending F

To get this ending, the player must not give Katie Zombrex and must be inside the shelter when the military arrives.

Chuck stands in the shelter room and holds Katie's backpack in his hands. Stacy assures him that he is not to blame for her death, but Chuck does not react. Suddenly zombies break into the room. Stacey tries in vain to close the doors. The zombies break in, knock Chuck to the ground and eat him. Chuck still doesn't react or resist. Stacy watches Chuck's death in horror.
