Additional tasks are legion. WoW Legion: World Quests Overview

In World of Warcraft: Legion, characters who reach level 110 will be able to complete World Quests.

The new system of local quests will significantly change the very principle of character development. Legion features battles on multiple fronts across the Broken Isles. The game has many ways to repel the enemy and develop your character. Choose what you like and write your name in Warcraft history!

Where to begin

World quests can be completed upon reaching level 110. When you reach level 110, you will receive the Flight Master's whistle and World Quests will begin appearing on your map, provided you have already earned the friendly treatment of the five main factions of the Broken Isles.

The Flight Master's Whistle is one of the most useful items in the game. By whistling it, you will almost instantly be transported to the nearest flight director you know. This is when you want to quickly get to know all the flight managers in each zone!..

Time and place

The main zones of local quests are Azsuna, Highmountain, Stormheim, Suramar and Val'shara. You, along with other players from your game world, will simultaneously receive the same local quests - so you can safely team up with friends!

Each world quest has a specific duration: more difficult quests (with more valuable rewards) usually last longer. This is so you can decide when you want to do them. And since after completing world quests, new ones do not appear immediately, you can manage your time with maximum benefit.

There is always a choice

World quests of several types will be marked on your map. Among them:

  • Adventure for one player.
  • A challenging challenge for large groups of players.
  • A task related to one of your professions.
  • Local bosses for large groups of players.
  • A dungeon challenge where players will need to form a group.
  • Pet battles.
  • PvP events.

You will be able to read a detailed description of each world quest before starting it. Information about the award is also provided there. It could be:

  • Gold
  • Artifact Power
  • Blood of Sargeras
  • PvE or PvP equipment
  • Reagents for your profession
  • Amulets for pets
  • Increasing reputation in one of the factions

Some rewards will be leveled.

Special assignments

There are hundreds of world quests waiting for you on the Broken Isles, so you won't come across the same or even similar ones very often. Also follow the envoy's short quest chains: you can get special bags for them. A new envoy quest chain will open every day (you can have up to 3 envoys at the same time).

After completing each world envoy quest, your reputation will increase with the main faction of the zone where the quest was received. So if, for example, you want to win the favor of the Nightfallen, take on the Emissary World Quests in Suramar as soon as they appear on the map.

Questions and answers

Senior Game Designer Jeremy Feazel recently answered some questions about World Quests.

How long does pumping take?

Leveling from 100 to 110 can be done in just 6 hours. Time can speed up a lot if you have Broken Isles Pathfinder, part two is complete and unlocked, you've rested and upgraded your heirlooms to level 110 in patch 7.2.5.

Experience

Each time you increase, your level increases and as you accumulate an experience bar, allowing you to level up and become more powerful.

There are many ways to gain experience such as PvP, War Animals, Archeology, Gathering, Dungeons and of course World Quests which will be the focus of this guide. At the end of the main storyline of each zone there is a large bonus quest that gives a lot of experience. Players will also be able to gain bonus experience using the following methods:

  • Increased XP: Leave the rest area to gain 100% bonus XP from kills based on how long you've been out of the game.
  • After unlocking the Hall class mission after level 101, several missions will grant experience (~5% of the level) upon completion.

In addition, players can acquire experience multipliers through several events:

  • 10% via Darkmoon Fair or riding the carousel for WHEE!.
  • 10% via Ribbon Dance.

Heirloom Items

Patch 7.2.5 introduces the ability to upgrade your previous items to level 110. You can buy a Scorched Spine Tile Armor or a Weathered Heirloom Knife from Estelle Gendry in the Undercity for 5,000 and 7,500 gold respectively.

Experience Bonus

Because of this, there are a maximum of 7 full item slots that can be upgraded to provide bonus experience between 100-110 for a maximum total bonus of 55%.

  • Helmet – 10%
  • Leverage – 10%
  • Cloak – 5%
  • Chest – 10%
  • Legs – 10%
  • Ring 1 (Admiral Taylor's Loyalty Ring, Third Fleet Badge, or Captain Sander's Returned Group) – 5%
  • Ring 2 (terrible pirate ring) – 5% Other relics

There are two more types of inheritable items: Keychains and Neck.

The neck can also be purchased from Estelle Gendry and progressed to level 110 in patch 7.2.5. Each neck has a 2-minute use effect to restore health!
Warlords of Draenor already scale to level 110. Accessories: Gronnuoth Warhorn, Naaru Judgment.
Touch of the Void is available from WoD Garrison and deals great damage to enemies in the area. Other accessories have an effect when you kill monsters.

Eastern Kingdoms:

    • Alliance: Improved Supply for Azeroth

Kalimdor:

  • Alliance: Survival of Kalimdor
  • Horde: Walking Kalimdor with the Earth Mother note that the tooltip says 15,000 gold, but it is actually 10,000 gold.

Item Level

As with previous heirlooms, the item's level will scale as the player levels up. This allows a newbie at 110 to start at level 800 items in certain slots.

Pumping zones

Legion has four experience zones, each with their own storyline and story. You can do this in any order you like as they scale to your level.

Azsuna is home to the remnants of the ancient night elves, ravaged by the wrath of Queen Azshara. This cursed land is replete with many secrets and serves as a refuge for what remains of the Blue Dragon.

Valshara- This is the site of Cenarius Grove, where the demigod first met Malfurion Storm and then began his training. This is also where the influence of the Emerald Nightmare bleeds into Azeroth, corrupting the land. You'll also find key locations such as the corrupted world tree Shaladrassil and the Black Rook Hold dungeon, an elven fortress that dates back to the War of the Ancients.

Highmountain is home to one of the largest mountains in Azeroth and is a rugged and beautiful place. Here, three tribes of high tauren are locked in a brutal struggle against the wild drobar that threatens their lands.

Earth Stormheim– one of the harshest zones, this is a reflection of the vrykul who live here. As you explore, you'll learn more about vrykul culture, including the origins of the mysterious Valkyr and the terrifying Kvaldir. Along the way, you'll fight the Vrykul God-King as he demands the "Stormheim Pillar of Creation" on behalf of his Legion masters. Ultimately, your quest will take you to the heavens where the greatest champions of the vrykul await to test your worth.

Prioritize main story quests that count on reaching that zone and taking you to the dungeon. Bonus objectives also award a huge amount of XP, so do them if your quest will naturally take you to the area. Make sure to complete the dungeon quest to finish each zone as it awards a huge amount of experience and completes the story! You can start the next zone's quests if you're expecting Dungeon Finder to queue you up.

In Legion, up to five players can loot the same mob at the same time, so you don't have to worry about someone else taking your loot faster.

Artifact and Class Hall quests

The artifact of your specialization is very important as it greatly increases your player's power when you equip it. The first thing you do when you reach the Broken Shore is get your first artifact weapon. Typically, obtaining artifact weapons takes about 20-30 minutes and will unlock your class stronghold. They provide certain experience depending on the length of the quest chain.

As you level up, parts of the class campaign are unlocked at level 101 and 103. They will reward you with experience and you will need to complete them. Be sure to fill them out when you can.

  • At level 101 you will receive a quest in Dalaran to begin the next stage of the class's campaign. You'll get some early champions, the ability to recruit smaller troops, and unlock Order Advancement.
  • At level 103 you will start a new chain of chains from your Order Hall. This chain opens up the opportunity to recruit more troops and unlock more champions.

At level 102, you can unlock additional artifact weapons for other specializations in your class. You will need to complete your quest chain and also receive your reward. Unlocking these artifacts will give you more flexibility if you have to change specializations for some reason.

Promotion of orders

There are two promotion options available for level 110 players. Tier 1 and Tier 2 upgrades will usually have one option that will improve the job of character development.

  • One level 1 option for each class is to increase the chance of getting a quest to get a rare or epic bonus upgrade from irregular quests.
  • One of the tier 2 options usually gives a cool buff that will be useful when on the Broken Isles. Some examples are: Soul Flame of Insight for Demon Hunters or Nexus Teleportation for Mages

Talents level up

Typically, players prefer the DPS specialization level as it kills enemies faster. However, both tanks and healers can deal a lot of damage - and more so than in previous expansions. Tanks and healers have a lot of survivability, allowing them to take on many enemies at once.

Upon entering a dungeon, players will receive a dungeon setup lasting 1 minute. This will allow them to move from unnecessary talents to dungeon running talents. However, this will not allow you to go back for free, so after the dungeon is completed, you will have to use the Tome of the Tranquil Mind. The first quest when you enter Dalaran will give you 5 Tomes of the Tranquil Mind, which do the same thing.

Professional quests

You can obtain the Legion Professions quests from the appropriate shop in the Broken Shores of Dalaran. You don't need any previous profession skills and can pick them up at profession level 1. Most quests will start in Dalaran and take you to Azsuna. Profession quests can be completed upon completing the main story of that zone and can be found in the same locations as the main story quests.

If you don't have professions, Herbalism and Mining are good choices for bonus experience quests. They are both done without leaving the main storyline, since there is ore and grass everywhere! Sometimes when you mine or select a stack of herbs, you will receive a quest that you can complete in Dalaran.

Useful items

The following items can help you level up:

  • http://www.wowhead.com/item=131811 – A toy that reduces your falling speed for one minute. Acquired by looting various items around Highmountain.
  • Alternatively, use the Goblin Glider Kit, which can be crafted or purchased from the Auction House.
  • Emerald Winds - A toy that can be used to advance. You can earn money by completing the Hechling Talon quest in the Mountains.
  • Reins of the Crimson Aquatic Strider - a mountain from the Draenor garrison that allows for water sports.
  • Fighter Grub is a food that will quickly restore your health if it is not in combat.

Crafting Legendary Items

If you have extra gold, you can buy or craft one of the legendaries. This is a massive stat boost and your character will be able to kill enemies much more efficiently.

You can equip them on a character that is level 101 or higher, and can be used entirely for current content.

New Items 7.3 BoA

Reputation Items

There are many different types of combat allies, but each class has at least one champion that can be assigned as a bodyguard. Bodyguards have a specific role (tank, damage dealer) that will use class-related abilities to help you on the Broken Shore.

Flying

Players who have completed http://www.wowhead.com/achievement=11190 and http://www.wowhead.com/achievement=11446 on any of their characters in order to fly in Legion content! This will significantly increase your leveling speed, since flying means allow you to travel faster than ground-based ones.

To be able to fly, you will need:

  • Explore 5 quest locations (http://ru.wowhead.com/achievement=11188)
  • Complete all main storylines in the Broken Isles (http://www.wowhead.com/achievement=11157/legion)
  • Complete 100 different world quests (http://ru.wowhead.com/achievement=11189)
  • Complete your Class Hall Order Campaign (http://www.wowhead.com/achievement=10994/a-glorious-campaign)
  • Earn Honor with the 6 Broken Isles factions (http://www.wowhead.com/achievement=10672)

The second and final part of Pathfinder Broken Isles can be completed in Patch 7.2: http://www.wowhead.com/achievement=11446 requires:
Complete the first part (http://ru.wowhead.com/achievement=11190)
Explore the Broken Shore (http://www.wowhead.com/achievement=11543)
Commander Honored by the Armies of the Legion (http://ru.wowhead.com/achievement=11545)

Legion attacks

Legion Assaults reward a huge amount of experience in 7.2, and with heirlooms in 7.2.5, they will award even more experience. Each invasion typically awards 90% – 100% EXP of the level.

Any character who has unlocked World Quests at level 110 will see Legion attacks at their level 98+ alt. Your alts will be able to complete all 6 quests for the invasion. Each World Quest will reward a base experience value (~10% of level) plus a bonus reward:

  • Stronghold Resources
  • Artifact Power
  • Bonus experience (~5% of level)

There are two types of Legion attacks: "Wanted" and regular. "Wanted" quests are much faster and easier to complete when leveling up because there is no limit on the number of people who can kill a monster. Regular quests can take much longer and can only be completed by 5 people.

One of the disadvantages of leveling through Legion invasions is the lack of equipment. In patch 7.2, players who just started the invasion have reached level 110 with an item level between 700-720, and things get harder and harder to kill since you don't get any new gear.

World Quests are another new addition to World of Warcraft: Legion. In general, this is some kind of improved variation on the daily theme, but to what extent - we need to understand in more detail.

Legion World Quests: General Information

We list the basic information on world quests:

  • these quests become available from level 110;
  • to open quests you must have a reputation at the level of friendliness with the five main factions of the Broken Isles;
  • world quests open after completing a special quest;
  • take place in all locations of the Broken Isles;
  • a world quest with an extremely valuable reward has a chance to spawn in the Eye of Azshara instance
  • World quests have different durations; the longer the duration, the more difficult the quest. They don't "reset" after a certain time like other quests;
  • there is no daily cap for world quests;
  • if you complete a world quest, another one will not appear automatically;
  • rewards for completing quests vary;
  • the same quests are available to players on your server, so there should be no problems with completion;
  • there are hundreds of world quests, so the likelihood of repeating the same task frequently is very low;

How to start a world quest?

Scrolling through the map from the flight master, you will see a tooltip that shows how many world quests can be completed in a certain location. From the map you can also understand what quests are available at each station along the flight route. The world map also shows how many quests are available in a particular location.

In order to start a quest, simply fly to a certain station and information about the quest will automatically appear there, similar to how it happens with additional tasks. In order to decide which quest to complete, look at the hint from which you will learn about the difficulty of the quest and the reward for completing it

World Quest Types

There are the following types of world quests, which can be learned from the icons on the minimap:

  • crossed swords: PvP quest;
  • violet "!" in the “dragon” frame: the quest is connected with the world boss;
  • blue skull in a “dragon” frame: the quest requires a group of players and is completed in an instance;
  • blue "!" in the "dragon" frame: the quest requires a group of players and requires killing an elite mob;
  • ordinary "!" in the "dragon" frame: the quest requires a small group of 2-3 players and requires killing an elite mob;
  • regular "!": the quest can be completed solo;
  • profession sign: the quest is associated with a specific profession;
  • green paw: the quest is related to combat pets.

The quest tooltip displays the following information:

  • quest name;
  • quest difficulty, which is determined by the color of the quest name;
  • the type of quest, which can be identified by the icon on the map;
  • if a quest gives you a reputation, then the tooltip also tells you this;
  • time remaining until completion varies depending on the type and complexity of the quest;
  • quest goals;
  • awards;

Kirin Tor Quests

This type of quest is different from other world quests:

  • these tasks are puzzles, as opposed to the traditional “kill-20-hogs”;
  • Enigmatic puzzle: you need to remember the sequence of illuminated tiles and repeat it;
  • Ley Racing puzzle: you need to have time to collect magical energy (the task has a time limit)
  • Flight puzzle: you need to get into an air bubble and fly with it so as not to fall out of it;
  • there are not many quests from the Kirin Tor yet
  • quests give reputation with the Kirin Tor faction, as well as with other factions;

Emissary quests and rewards for them

Each day, special NPCs called Emissaries will give out quests that will offer a reputation bonus for completing 4 quests for a specific Broken Isles faction. You can see which emissaries are available today on the map. Emissaries change every three days, so you don't have to log into the game every day to receive their quests. In total, you can complete 3 emissary quests at a time.

World quest rewards

Rewards for world quests vary depending on difficulty, but in general everything is quite predictable:

  • gold, stronghold resources, an item for leveling up artifact power, a kit for stronghold champions, Blood of Sargeras, a kit for an 805+ character and relics for artifacts;
  • professional quests give reagents as rewards, including rare ones such as Felwort, Infernal Brimstone, Sluce of Bacon;
  • quests from the “Work Order” category provide rewards in the form of level 3 recipes;
  • blacksmithing: powerstone armor;
  • enchanting: chants for rings and necklaces;
  • engineering: various gadgets;
  • Inscription: runes for bosses of the Emerald Nightmare raid;
  • jewelry making: various necklaces and rings;
  • leatherworking: leather armor;
  • tailoring: cloth armor;
  • the fishing competition will also be a world task;
  • PvP quests will bring rewards in the form of a level 805 body kit
  • to maintain interest in world quests, the level of items that will be given as rewards for quests will be scaled;
  • for completing the emissary quest, the player receives 1500 reputation points with a certain faction, as well as a bag with all sorts of useful things. In the bag you can find several hundred stronghold resources, an item for pumping up the power of an art fact, and an attachment for followers. In addition, the bag may contain a legendary item (low chance) and an item (very low chance) that will allow you to start a quest, the reward for which will be a riding fox.

Intermediate impressions

It all sounds pretty good. Instead of repeating the same tasks from the same NPCs from month to month, we get variety and can choose depending on our preferences. Let's see how it will work. There have already been plenty of experiments with quest hubs, while the most successful, in my opinion, was the Timeless Island.

Another portion of Questions and Answers from the developers – and another layer of very interesting information!

  • The world quest system will make it easy to add new content.
  • Developers can adjust the likelihood of new quests appearing and remove old ones as content is added.
  • First, we will see how world quests (WQs) show themselves as a whole, and only then they can appear in old locations.
  • Demon Invasions are a prime example of MK.
  • In the upcoming patches, they may add a couple of MKs for the “old world”, for example, a reworked fishing tournament.
  • You decide what your character's progress will be.
  • It can only be equipped through world quests, but the more difficult the content, the higher the reward.
  • It will be possible to filter tasks for primary and secondary professions, as well as for battle pets.
  • There are already addons for such filtering. And, if their functionality is very popular, Blizzard will add it to the basic interface.
  • Class Halls will make your activity in the world more effective: you can hire bodyguards and increase the Artifact Power you receive.
  • At a certain stage, you will no longer need the resources of the Class Halls to progress.
  • Legion is very close to an improved version of Pandaria's daily routines.
  • There will be just as much content, but it actually gives rewards for completion, and does not force you to wait a couple of months to level up your reputation.
  • There are about 1000 MK options, so you can make your own choice.
  • If you stay away from the game for a long time, you will have more tasks available than someone who completes them every day.
  • The weekly event for Apexis crystals will be replaced by an event for World Quests.
  • It will give a reputation bonus with the faction for which you are completing the task.
  • Events will not be available for the first time after the release of Legion, so that players can calmly get used to the new content.
  • In PvP-MK, Blizzard implements those ideas that are not suitable for the arena.
  • For example, there will be areas of free PvP where you can ride goats, turn into murlocs, etc.
  • A little PvE will be added to PvP by Guardian Towers, which are guarded by mobs of different classes. And, if the enemy faction wants, it can come to the aid of its Tower.
  • Pet Battle quests give tokens, stones, fun items, etc.
  • Every day an emissary will appear, sending you to complete 4 tasks for a specific faction.
  • Completing it gives you a large amount of reputation.
  • Emissaries can “accumulate” for 3 days.
  • Emissary chests may contain legendary items.
  • You cannot get legendaries for MKs themselves.
  • In Suramar, you can learn more about the history of the factions by completing quests.
  • The more quests and reputation you have, the deeper you go into the city and learn new things.
  • There are many types of MK: rare mobs, mini-games, world bosses, events in dungeons, etc.
  • New technology has been used for the demonic invasion and the developers are eager to see how it performs.
  • In addition to solo tasks, there will also be group tasks.
  • 5 players can complete the same objective at the same time, so you can simply help other characters.
  • All rare mobs and world bosses can be attacked by anyone without restrictions, and everyone who participated will receive loot.
  • Each MK has its own reset time - for some it’s 3 days, for others it’s a week, for others it’s 6 hours, etc.
  • The world should be dynamic, but not overwhelming. From 10 to 20 options will be updated at the same time.
  • All world quests are very varied and will not be repeated often, so replay value will not suffer.
  • Rarelings have abilities tied to various locations.
  • If something appears too often, Blizzard may reshuffle the content or add new content.
  • Relics are similar to weapon drops, but they are only used to upgrade an Artifact.
  • Outside of Suramar, MK will be the same for everyone. This way, friends can play with each other.
  • The main reward for emissaries is reputation, as well as the Power of Artifacts.
  • Faction daily updates are updated every 6 hours, located in different locations and make you think that you are doing really important things for this zone.
  • Players will have the option to skip the lengthy introduction to Legion and take the shortcut. And then, at any moment, relive everything again by talking to the NPC.
  • Demon Invasions are only available in the pre-patch.
  • The release date for Patch 7.0.3 has not yet been determined until the team determines that everything is working like clockwork.
  • Rewards can be upgraded randomly.
  • The more complex the content you participate in, the higher the average VP of rewards for it.
  • The higher the VP of your character, the higher the VP of the dropped loot.
  • The Class Hall technology tree will give you bonuses.
  • Knowledge of Artifacts will increase the resulting Artifact Power.
  • Class Halls will make the gameplay more interesting.
  • In Legion with scalable locations, you will have the chance to choose your own path of progress.
  • Not all players like the inability to outgrow content.
  • Blizzard wants old content to be fun too.
in WoW Legion full of secrets and mysteries, and although the surroundings of the once great city are now, albeit picturesque, but still ruins, the city itself is still bustling with life. The adventurer has access to the most eventful Legion location only at level 110, but a huge pile of quests, two Mythic dungeons, a raid and, in general, a lot of interesting things are definitely worth the wait.

There is a lot to do in Suramar, and first of all you can admire the local landscapes - they, as always in World of Warcraft, are simply mesmerizing. But these are little things, the most important thing begins after Khadgar himself contacts you to ask for help with some interesting matter (quest “Khadgar’s Discovery”) - this is where the plot of Suramar starts.

There is no need to talk about the plot - there are complete spoilers, so just know that the plot of Suramar is worth following and completing it completely, and besides, there is a good reward for this in the form of reputation, gold, artifact power and even an epic mount, but let's talk about all this in order.

This guide will help newbies navigate Suramar, as well as those who just want to make sure they haven't missed anything. For convenience, it is divided into several sections.

In general, the Nightfallen story quests do not pose any difficulties, but it is worth mentioning the Telemancer Oculeth. Soon after you meet him, Oculet asks you to pick up some things from his old home, and during the quest “The Subtle Art of Telemancy” you find yourself in a teleport system. Finding the ones you need is quite simple - the Oculet tools are located in the Distortion Laboratory and the Telemetry Laboratory, but there are also a couple of secrets hidden here.

The “library” teleport will take you to a distorted space, from which Oculet will hasten to pull you out, but if you examine the distortion more carefully, you can discover hidden treasures. To prevent Oculet from “saving” you ahead of time, you need to quickly get to one of the shining purple circles and follow this way until the end of the distortion. At the exit, a statue of an elf and a reward in the form of a chest with change and artifact power will be waiting for you.

Next, Thalyssra will send you to explore the Anor Basin on the quest “Connecting to the Ley Lines”. Valtrois, who is right there, will not be happy to see you, but when she finds out about Thalyssra, she will become much more accommodating. Together with Valtrois, you need to activate the ley line of the Anor Basin, and the puzzle itself that is proposed to be solved is extremely simple, but after activating the ley line, you get the opportunity to activate other ley lines throughout Suramar. It’s better to take care of this in advance, since later in the story you will still be forced to run around all the hiding places, and it will be better if you don’t have to run that much.

Side quests

The side quests of Suramar are as intricate as the plot ones, and sometimes even surpass them. The main reward for completing them will, again, be the power of the artifact, but you won’t be able to get the achievement “Good Suramaritan” without them either.

If you've ever walked past the vrykul settlement of Yandvik, where vrykul and naga fight day and night, you've probably noticed that both of them don't like you. However, you can become the Jarl of Yandvik - you can begin the plot of this settlement in the forest not far from the village, where a vrykul lady named Toril is just waiting for someone to help her drive away the naga.

In addition to the power of the artifact, several portions of ancient mana and the useless title of Jarl of Yandvik, you will also get the ability to breathe underwater and swim quickly in the nearby bay, and since several local quests take place there, such a reward will definitely be useful.

There, in the city of the nightborne, you can complete the quest chain “Blood and Wine” and receive the pet Unbound Mana Wyrm for the quest “Balance as a Gift”.

One of the world quests in Suramar sends you to train the withered ones so that they can become useful. The goal of training the withered is to reach the Telemancer Oculeth at the other end of the ruins and at the same time survive, bringing at least one wither with you. This is not as easy to do as it might seem, but with the right approach anything is possible.
